search-tips
Kizmeet has many ways to search for your missed connections, but here are some tips:
- Think big. “Browse All Postings” on the Homepage shows you all postings for your city. From there, try a keyword search (ex: karaoke, Starbucks) or use the calendar icon to search by the encounter date of your missed connection.
- Think small. There are a number of ways to narrow your search:
- Use the category icons to focus on where the missed connection took place.
- Select a specific location within the category (Coffee Shops: Starbucks or Coffee Shops: Coffee Bean).
- Use the search bar to narrow results within that category. For example, if you’re in Los Angeles: Coffee Shops and you search for “golden retriever,” you’ll see all the postings within L.A. Coffee Shops that have “golden retriever” written in the message.
- Search by gender. Click “Men posting for Women” or “Women posting for Women,” etc. and then hit the green “go” button.
- Encounter Date vs. Posting Date. Results will be listed by encounter date, but you can easily change the setting so they are listed by posting date. Encounter Date helps when you remember exactly which day the missed connection took place; Posting Date lets you read the most recent Kizmeet postings.
- Try different categories. For example, one person’s “Markets & Shopping” may be another person’s “Outdoors,” so give both a try. And, of course, you can see all postings if you begin with “Browse All Postings” on the homepage for your city.
