Women prefer 6ft
Why is that most females prefer 6+feet tall men? It's understandable that tall women go for tall men, same height match but many short and average height women want 6+.

Most of my friends are in the 5' to 5'5" range, but only two of them have recently dated super tall guys. I don't think women are as particular about height as men think.

I fully agree with Arcelo. My reasoning is that I think it's a massive government conspiracy to wipe out short guys from the gene pool to make the USA a "stronger" nation.

LOL! Ya'll are funny! And yes, I'm from Texas! I've always thought that taller men, not too tall, were my type. If you are about the same height I don't seem as attracted to that. Also, if you are skinnier than me, forget it! lol! I'm not fat, I'm average. I work out daily, just about, but I could never be with a man that was smaller than me! GEEZ!! lol!

1) I suggest you read "The Evolution of Desire". It's a very interesting book and explains why women seek out certain traits in men. Most women can't control this selection process as it is inscribed in their genetic make-up from the cave man days (same for most guys). If I remember correctly, height had to do with being able to protect a woman when she is in a weakened state due to being pregnant or rearing a child.

2) What I don't understand is tall women who whine about hating being so tall, then they seek out a guy who is even taller than them so she can possibly have a girl that will be even taller. I'm 5'11" and don't care if someone is taller than me, but I've had taller women reject me solely because they were taller (in heels). strange

More simply: dating short men makes them seem more like kids, and women feel more like a mom to them - not sexual, more awkward. esp when it comes to thing like slow dancing, putting your arm around them to walk, etc.

Women who can override this feeling will have a greater selection of guys to choose from, since shorter guys do tend to get overlooked in the dating pool. (Tom Cruise anyone?)
