» I just don't see how this site works. As a general rule, women don't call guys unless they are beyond their grasp, or they are in a "phase" (that is not good for either party). I hate to generalize like that, but from what I see, the man is the aggressor 99% of the time, and sending a note saying you're interested online just isn't going to open the door for most women IMO.

It would nice if it does work, as I'm not a fast talking salesman picker-upper type guy. I need to be around someone to develop the relationship to a certain point before the next step (or door) opens.

I'm a pessimistic optimist... Just because I don't think something is going to work doesn't mean it is going to stop me from doing it and hoping for the best.
