My bf broke up with me 3 weeks ago. We'd been together for almost 4 years. (We started dating junior year). He fell out of love with me, at least that's what he said. I guess that's a little better than if he'd cheated or something, but how does someone just 'fall out of love' out of the blue?

Every one of my friends keeps telling me I'm better off, but I just miss him. We did everything together and now I'm supposed to just blink and move on? wtf!

I don't want to be with anyone who doesn't want to be with me, but when does this aching stop?!!? Arrrgh!

Tulip's right, Ms. Boop.
What, you're only 23 or 24? You'll have a chance to go thru a lot more dudes.

i went through a rough breakup not long ago. even tho it was a "mutual breakup" i feel your aching pain. my relationship wasnt as long as 4yrs but i did do everything together with my xgrl. after the break up, everything seems to remind me of her, and when i tried to ignore it, resist the thoughts of memories, forget her all together...it seems to backfire. So i sucked it up and went through it as it comes. so my words to you is that it will hurt and it will take time...but eventually it'll calm down...hope not too long, tho. good luck Betty.

Hi Miss BettyBoop,
I think the advice you have here is pretty good. The key word..."move on". Especially if you're in your early 20's...wow! Definately move on and take your time doing so. Hang out with your girlfriends, do fun things with them and don't think about this guy or any guy. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop". Enjoy your 20's and with time, you will meet the right one.
