To the barista who saw me swiping all that Splenda today. I tried to be sly about it; no one was looking and next thing I know, there you are looking at me as I'm sliding those sweet yellow packets in my gigantic purse. Was that the evil eye you gave me? But we had such nice barista-customer inane banter at the register. Isn't rudeness worse than, um, taking a few extra sugar packets?
I feel badly, but as my friend said after I told her the scoop (she was wondering why I was giggling), "For chrissake, have you checked the price of their coffee lately? I say go back tomorrow for more!"
Next time I'll take Equal.
